Flat Liner Tuning release log.

Every release of the Flat Liner Tuning desktop app, what changed in each one, and what is landing in the next version. Older builds are kept here as .zip files. Unzip before running. The current release lives on the download page.

  1. Version 1.0.3

    Current release

    Live scan progress on RTA and Levels, more reliable EQ matching, and Regain Lost Level on the report.

    • New Scan progress. RTA and Levels show a live progress bar while REW averages. Stop works without freezing the app.
    • New Regain Lost Level. Compare original RTA scans to current level scans and restore output without going above the original baseline. The boost is stored on the report separately from matching trim.
    • Improved Capture settings. 16k FFT, Psy smoothing, and REW averages so scans stay stable. Empty results show a tip instead of failing silently.
    • Improved EQ matching. Filters aim at the car's own target curve and stay inside each driver's passband, so crossover skirts are not flattened. If REW's predicted curve fails, the app rebuilds it and still saves filters.
    • Improved Target curves. Custom curves validate and interpolate more densely at crossover knees.
    • Improved Tuning report. Target overlays sit on the measured scans, and regain boost is listed on the report.
    • Improved App chrome. Tighter header and page actions, same color palette.

  2. Version 1.0.2

    Previous release

    Mosconi and Audison EQ export, an in app update notice, and crossovers that can be turned off per driver.

    • New Mosconi and Audison EQ export. Copy your filters in Mosconi Channel EQ (9 band) and Main EQ (30 band) formats, in addition to the existing Audiotec Fischer/Helix and Audison/Hertz targets.
    • New Update notice. The app tells you when a newer version has been published and links straight to the download page. It only tells you. Nothing downloads or installs itself.
    • New Startup screen. A proper boot screen while the app starts up and checks whether REW is reachable.
    • New Optional crossovers. Tick “No HPF” or “No LPF” per driver in car setup, for drivers that run without one.
    • Improved Windows installer. The installer now carries the Flat Liner Tuning branding, with a splash screen and header icon.
    • Improved Correct EQ band counts. Exports use the band count REW reports for the equaliser you selected instead of assuming 30, so 9 and 12 band profiles import cleanly.
    • Improved REW version recorded. Saved filter settings files note which version of REW produced them.

    Previous release

    Center channel tuning, a rebuilt Pro workflow, a new export target for Arc Audio processors, and a macOS build.

    • New Center channel support. Tune a center channel alongside the existing left, right, and subwoofer channels.
    • New Arc Audio filter support. Export your EQ as an Audison/Hertz 12 band EQ file for use with Arc Audio processors.
    • New Mac version available. Flat Liner Tuning now ships a macOS build in addition to Windows.
    • Improved Pro version layout. The card view has been replaced with a searchable grid, so large setups are faster to scan and filter.
    • Improved Chart hover readout. Hovering the chart now shows the data point along with its X and Y axis values.
    • Fixed Duplicate car entries. Saving a new car no longer creates multiple entries.

    First release

    The first public release. The minimum viable product. The complete REW driven tuning workflow from measurement import through to the finished tuning report.

    • New Car and system setup. Define your vehicle, channels, and DSP so every calculation matches your install.
    • New REW measurement import. Pull your measurements straight from REW into the app.
    • New Target curve selection. Choose a target curve and EQ against it.
    • New EQ filter generation. Generated filters ready to enter into your DSP.
    • New Level matching and time alignment. Calculated per channel from your measurements.
